As I struggled between the options available to me for the two series I had in mind, Atlantisch and Chronicles, I hit upon a concept of a shared beginning that then branches out in two different directions.

Both books will share parts, mainly those set in the seedy world of politics, but will stride out in their own directions.

Atlantisch : Crusaders will follow those who do the bidding of their political masters, the common soldiery, in action on the Eastern Front, whereas the Chancellor Chronicles series will deal with the world behind the German lines, where scheming and intrigue hold sway.

The two have only some opening parts in common but each will take a different path into the universe of what might have been, paths that I consider could, had all the circumstances been in place, have been reasonably followed by the nations that participated in World War Two.
